At least he wasn't clothed ...

Pippi and I found a sugar pumpkin at the store yesterday, so we decided that today we'd bake a fresh pumpkin pie. After Bardo's bath we decided to put together our pie. I put Bardo down for thirty seconds so I could do something with two hands. When I looked up he was up to his elbow in the spaghetti sauce.

But I'm glad we persisted in making the pie because Pippi, in the happiness of it all, remarked, "I like school, but it sure is good to be home."

Note: Please do not ask me what an open jar of spaghetti sauce was doing on the table. Please. I'm embarrassed about it enough already.

Silly Witch, you sure know how to make home a great place to be!

I love it! And I have no doubt that in a few months Emma will be up to her elbow in something...and I'm totally impressed with the pie from scratch!

Stella walked in and saw the picture and said "Wow, messy, can I play?" Must look like a lot of fun. Your pie sounds delicious.

See, we're all just amused at Bardo being a cute kid and impressed that you and Pippi made a pumpkin pie from scratch. What's a day without a little spaghetti sauce facial, after all?

hey, happy kids are often dirty kids... nice timing just after the bath, at least the kid knows when to find the sauce!

have it on good authority that a spaghetti sauce body rub makes one more resistant to the common cold.

Bardo looks so cute covered in sauce. And thanks for not posting a pic of the pie . . .just hearing about it has given me a huge craving for pumpkin pie!
