but I have stuff to tell you...
Ten ways to describe Bardo at nearly nineteen months
1. Big Hands--watch out counters, tables, and drawers, for the harder something is to reach, the more tantalizing it is. I often find him wandering around with a tube of toothpaste or a toothbrush from our Bardo-head high drawers.
2. Big Boy Ideas-The boy thinks that he should be able to ride a bicycle. Today we bought a new bike for Pippi. Bardo fully thought that he would be getting her old Cinderella bike. He brought my helmet and asked me (in his toddler way) to put it on his head; he then led me to the "butt" (his word for bike). My heart breaks. I drove him around in the stroller with the helmet on his head, but he just sat there and sucked his fingers.
3. Bigger Vocabulary: hot, puppy (any animal), moon, Beppa (his special name for Pippi), in, on, uh-uh-uh, itty (thirsty), cheese, keys, please, achoo (he thinks he's so funny for this one), Daddy (the man himself, and other men, and all of Daddy's belongings), Mama, baby, baba, eat, flower, "B" (meaning bird), helma (helmet), football (meaning the football itself, athletic wear, football fields), ball, happy, mine, no, yes
4. Bath Lover
5. Track Star
6. Social Butterfly: He loves nursery. Thank goodness. Incidentally, I asked the nursery leader if there was any hitting, she replied, "A normal amount for this age."
7. Big eater: I think he's a hobbit. He regularly comes back for second breakfast. And when he asks to be released from his high chair, he likes to climb up on the extra chair and grab Pippi's food.
8. Book Lover: Hallelujah! Finally!
9. Busy
10. Little brother: He loves to follow Pippi around. And usually, she loves to have him...

Thanks for postponing sleep and sharing this. I love hearing about your kids! You're raising interesting people who are interested in their world.
Those glottal consonants can be a real challenge ("k" & "g") :)
Love it! Emma's into second breakfasts too. Either that or she's just a mooch. :)
Sounds like such a fun boy!
What a cutie! You are so blessed.
I am so grateful for this blog. I wish we didn't have to live so far from each other.
