Chopped

That's what I did to my hair. Little life changes, like chopping hair, seem to draw attention. Everyone has to acknowledge that they noticed, even if they haven't figured out whether or not they like it.

Here are the most common responses:

"You cut your hair!"
"Cute!" (in a squeal)
"It looks good."
"Do you like it?"
"How does it feel?"

Here are some unique responses:

"You look...all grown up. No. Really. Very sophisticated.":-) (Thanks Tamany.)
"That works on you."
"You look like my Aunt Deb, twenty years ago. Deb was always my favorite." (Only the Warlock would be so bold.)
"You look like the kind of woman who's ready at a moment's notice to pick up and go backpacking. You look like you." (This was also from the Warlock.)

Wait! What? No picture? How chopped is chopped? Shoulder length? And asymetrical cut? Butched like a boy's? Pictures are needed so the rest of us can make comments about your hair! :o)

Pictures will be forthcoming. However, I have a little more "research" to do first!

I'm with all the other "commenters" - I'd love to see a picture :)

Okay, so, in my own defense, Deb really was my favorite aunt growing up. And since the reference was to 20 years ago, you can now take pride in the fact that you are appropriate retro.

For the record, I like it.

I suppose without a picture I'll have to drive down there and see it...

um, hello, how are we supposed to make comments, original or otherwise, without any evidence?

I am quite fond of Aunt Deb with short hair myself, so I'm sure you look like a hot tamale! Every time I have a new baby, I chop my hair off. It is so much easier! Why no picture?
