Friday afternoon we got a trace of snow. School closed early. All school district activities were cancelled or postponed. By the time the Warlock's work Christmas party rolled around I drove downtown on a dry (and empty because of the fuss) highway.
The arrival of winter has prompted the Warlock to cover up a little more on his morning marathon training runs.
Bardo, the first time he saw the cold weather attire looked at the Warlock with a big smile on his face and said, "Daddy, why are you dressed like a ninja?" Ah yes. My ninja. There he goes.

I think people who don't get snow all the time truly now how to appreciate it!

I am also jealous of your snow. Where was our snow? We are neighbors, aren't we?
That's how Portland was growing up. Everything, including school would shut down for the slightest snow fall. We loved it when school was cancelled!
