I'm grateful the Warlock held down the fort today while I ventured to the Woodlands to run 5 miles in a race.
I'm grateful for all those Airforce ROTC kids cheering for me.
I'm grateful for my mother-in-law, who steps in wherever needed, and oh I did need her today.
I'm grateful the Warlock makes amazing turkey (actually, he made 3 amazing turkeys) so I don't have to do it.
I'm grateful Natalie makes amazing rolls so I don't have to do it.
I'm grateful Julianne made stuffing so our meal would have that true Thanksgiving feel.
I'm grateful Pa shared the sherbet with fruit cocktail tradition with us and offered a meaningful Thanksgiving prayer.
I'm grateful Bardo and Grandma found Boo asleep in the closet.
I'm grateful for Pippi who spent hours laboring over place cards.
I'm grateful for my mom and dad and brothers and sisters. I kept thinking about them today, but now I'm just too tired to call. Tomorrow...
I'm grateful my kids had fun today. (Bardo said today was the best Thanksgiving ever with dramatic flair.)
I'm grateful for little girls who walk into my house and present my children with cute pictures full of fall leaves. I'm grateful to sit and enjoy an incredible meal sitting between 2 friends (both past running partners) who I love so much and who talking to feels like therapy to me.
I'm grateful for kids (not my own) who feel comfortable with me at my house and come and tell me that they are afraid of my dog and allow me to ease their fears with Natalie's chocolate mint cookies.
I'm grateful Pa's business is doing well even though it stole him away from us early.
I am thankful for today.
Happy Thanksgiving!
