Sisters

Today I'm grateful for sisters.  I have 3 beautiful, strong, different sisters.  I'm grateful to be the "big" sister.  My sisters make me feel wise and strong when my children are bringing me to my knees.

I'm grateful for music.  The Young Women are learning this song for Young Women in Excellence.  My testimony is wrapped around the music I sang as a kid.  I sit Boo on my lap as I play the piano.  She demands primary songs and points to her favorites as we flip through the pages.  I feel that same weaving of spirit and sound I felt as I child.  I sat next to Pippi's piano teacher for a few lessons of my own this summer.  I played a few notes of Dawn by Marianelli (Pride and Prejudice).  I stopped.  As if reading my mind, she commented on how she felt something really special in this music.  I sat next to her again on Saturday as someone half my age played Dawn at the Music Festival recital.  I'm grateful for this song.  It is just right for easing me from sleep in the morning.  I'm grateful for the unique singing voices of each of my children.  They have a lot of music in their souls.  And I'm grateful for the Warlock's funny songs.  He doesn't share them often, but he is incredible!  And funny.

I totally love the Pride & Prejudice soundtrack. I listen to it constantly. I need the sheet music.

I'm grateful youhave sisters too. I like seeing how you and your sisters offer each other support in a way that I can't offer.

Thanks for the introduction to Pomplamoose! I have never heard of them before, but I've been listening to them for the past hour while I catch up on blogs and pinterest. Love them!
