Ingredients:
1 Father
1 or more Sons
1 Grandfather (optional, but improves flavor greatly)
20 Twinkies
450 marshmallows
50 cans soda
4 packages hot dogs or similar, with buns and condiments
Tent and sleeping bags
Matches (and lighter fluid for those who have achieved Eagle Scout or who have paid their camping dues)
Stick
Use matches (and lighter fluid) to start fire. Give stick to Son and let him poke fire/cook hot dogs/toast marshmallows/eat Twinkies/drink soda as required and as long as Mom doesn't find out. Father and Grandfather should stay up all night deep in conversation to guard camp against roaming feral hogs. Return home next morning and scoff when Mom asks what activities were planned.

hurry up! I can't wait to see the pictures.
Sounds like a recipe for a great time! I can't imagine going camping with a young child in November, but I bet November is one of the nicest times of year for you.
Bardo is looking so grown-up in that picture! That's great that you only had to make a few items for Thanksgiving. I've never had to do everything before and even though it was just for four people, all the cooking wore me out! I'm looking forward to the pictures of the amazing camp-out!
Sounds like a recipe for success!
I was in the library when I read Bardo's comment about the Silly Witch's tummy "overflowing" and I almost didn't keep the laughter in...too funny, and way too cute!
