A Good Day

We arrived safely in Montana yesterday. Boo, Bardo, and Pippi made short work of pulling out all the toys. Pippi found her pink fishing pole right away and immediately began casting. Bardo also found a pole. They both went to bed with it in their heads that they were going fishing in the morning. Fortunately, they lucked out in the grandmother department, and my mom purchased a fishing license just so she could take them. They returned home with a spiky perch in a plastic bag. Apparently Bardo caught a fish in the muddy water ( his words.). Mom sheepishly confessed that she wasn't expecting to catch anything, so she didn't even bring her knife to clean out the fish. Bardo was thrilled, of course, over and over again saying "I caught a fish.". Pippi was jealous, especially when Bardo wouldn't even let her get a picture holding the fish.

Well, I have to tell you that is the coolest thing I have read all day. Good going grandmom. Bardo will remember that forever.

Any Grandma who knows how to gut a fish is spectacular. I suppose that is why you are too :)
