Bardo and me

Bardo's figured out how to operate the computer and the television independently.  It's annoying and a lot of work to keep him busy doing brain-growing, rather than brain-numbing activities.  It's also annoying to make sure that I log out every time I get off the computer.  But I like to think that he enjoys the bike rides, cooking, and learning to read with me just as much as PBSkids.org, BellaSara, and addicting games because I adore this boy.

Also, please note that Bardo, though only age 4 has lost his first tooth.

Also, it is of note that my kids and I have been experimenting with Healthy Bread in 5 minutes a day.  I was so excited about this book, but bread can never ever take an average of five minutes a day.  It's not possible. Additionally, the bread-making method in the book did not work for me, leaving the gluten undeveloped and the bread dense.   Thank goodness I did not buy the book and just checked it out from the library.

I did get the idea for pizza rolls from the authors' website.  They were a huge hit with Bardo and the Warlock.

I tried that, too, and had similar results. One probably has to practice for months to get it down to five minutes. The bread, while delicious, was more like a ciabatta.
