A Baby Girl w/ a "Beautiful Heart"

Wednesday we piled the family into the car to look at the baby. Bardo refused to sit in the stroller, telling us that he could do it himself. He sat on Nick's lap during the whole thing, entertaining us all with comments about the darkness of the room, the sink in which to wash hands, etc. He didn't think that the image on the computer screen looked much like a baby, and then the announcement came. "Do you want to find out the gender?" the ultrasound technician asked us. "Yes," the Warlock replied, "but I'm guessing that it's a girl." "You are right." Then, the Warlock gave Bardo a little squeeze, "Are you ready to have a little sister?" Pippi was smiling wide, but Bardo provided no reaction except a stunned silence.

Anyway, we're taking suggestions for names, and we'll let you know what we decide!

Congratulations! Both Pippi and Bardo will be great with a little sister to love. I can't help but think of Stacy and how she must be preparing her sister to come down to you. I hope your heart is at ease expecting another little spirit.

I'm so excited for you guys! I love finding out the gender, it gives you something to look forward to at the half-way point! Names, hmmm . . . I'm running out of girl names because all we seem to have is girls. I'll think on it and get back to you if I come up with any!

Hurray! I guessed right ;) I'm not telling you my favorite names, because you've already stolen one of them (Pippi's)...maybe Gertrude or Marigold...hehehehe.

Abby or Sophie, I like those names but Adam doesn't so I will never get to use them. Or you could use Maren. It is really a beautiful name. Anyway we could call her Eglantine until you figure out what to name her. Eglantine is an awesome name. Vote for Eglantine!

Yeah! I sure hope she gets your gorgeous red hair! She gets to be our little girl's friend, cuz our poor girl has no sister. :(

Please share what names you are considering. We still have no idea...

That's really exciting!! Coming up with baby names really stresses me out - I had to do it three times now, and I'm all tapped out... sorry. I'm sure you guys will pick a great name! Good luck!

If you know my husband this won't be hard to belief, although it is funny . . . we have a spreadsheet of baby girl names. This is how we decided names . . . I know it's bizarre, but we choose the ones in the book we like, then we combine them and then we take a little test separately to see if we have any in common that we like. I'll email it to you!

Congratulations!!! How neat! I am also picturing Stacy and her sister up there, getting so excited for her to come to your family.

Names, names.... I was reading Normal Mormon Husband's blog post on baby naming (what not to do) the other night while I was on call. I would also have to suggest that you do not name her Renesmee. (Are you a Twilight books reader?)

Yeah! After hearing the news at the pool, I went to tell Jared the news. I asked him to guess what you were having and he said, "Oh, I already know, a girl. Isn't that great? Nick told me yesterday." Men are so funny. That would have been one of the first things on my mental list of things to tell him!

I'm so excited for you!

Terrific! I have my pink quilt all planned out.
As for names, I've always had a penchant for Gladys. Agnes is a winner too. Or how about Prifanpe - a combination of the three lovely names: Prissy, Fanny, and Penelope.

Yeah! How about Claire, Tess, Elleanor, Gabrielle, Olive...I noticed someone poking fun at Penelope, but I love the name, maybe my style is too old fashioned. I miss our visiting teaching lunches.
