What does she need me for, anyway?

Well Pippi's a fourth-grader. She's an old pro when it comes to getting out the door and off to school. I trained her to be that way, and after she left this morning I felt an odd mixture of pride and regret as I realized that the only thing she needed me for was to find her bicycle lock. Last night she told me she was planning on packing her own lunch this year because I was so "busy with Bardo and Boo." And pack it she did. Twice. She packed it once after dinner, and then again before bed because Bardo had eaten it while I was tending Boo in the bath. Hopefully someday he'll be a little more sensitive...or learn to make his own sandwich.

She had a great day even though someone rudely laughed at our last name during roll call.

What a sweet girl. Probably the nicest friend Jeffrey has ever had. Her little brother and sister are very lucky, even if they eat her lunch sometimes.

Wow! Fourth Grade! She really is growing up. She's such a good big sister, I bet that someday she even helps Bardo make his own sandwhich.

It hides the tell-tale signs of photoshopping out the garbage cans.

Warlock, you really need to stop giving away all my secrets. It's though. School started Monday, garbage day, the light was bad on our front door shots, and I was desperate to post a picture of Pippi. So we took some artistic license with the photo. I love it now.

What do you mean, YOUR secrets? I was the one who showed you how to do it! And we wouldn't have needed the watercolor effect if we would have taken more time and done it properly!

Who wants a normal last name anyway? Trust me, life gets too complicated when a million people have the same name as you do. Found that out the hard way when I got married.
