The Party

Pippi's party was yesterday.  She made out the invitations and brought them to school this year.  I had people I'd barely even met RSVPing on their way to the party.  A few even informed me that they'd be bringing siblings along, too, shortly before the party.  I politely had to say "sorry I'm not prepared for extra children."  It was awkward.  Anyway,  I need more practice at the party giving thing, nevertheless the children all seemed to have a great time...except for a couple of the younger girls who I found in tears intermittently.  I knew just how they felt since I was suffering from sensory overload, too.  In addition to a few simple party games, Pippi and I made up a game of Quidditch for safe backyard play.  Some people wanted to change the rules, and others weren't willing to try.  A couple tried really hard.  So if anyone wants to come play Silly Witch Quidditch please let me know.  I'm anxious to see how it works out.  Several of the children were amazing pianists, and a group of girls were outstanding singers.  I think next year Pippi should do a talent show with her friends, and perhaps I will plan more low key games.  It's really fun to see the children progress.  They really only need a little direction now.  Here's a photo collage if you are interested in checking out some of Pippi's friends.

What a great party and nifty costumes. Was Pippi Cleopatra? Did many people casually mention they were dropping off al there kids at your house? Or was it just one or two? Astonishing!

Just two! But still... And she was a Greek goddess. She named her goddess, Azecca. You should ask her about it.

What a fun party! And I think a talent show party is a brilliant idea too.
